  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together room temperature butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.
  4. Add vanilla extract to the creamed mixture.
  5. Add large eggs to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  6. Add flour, baking soda, unsweetened cocoa, and salt to the wet ingredients.
  7. Beat the mixture until a soft dough forms.
  8. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  9. Stir in the Reese's Pieces.
  10. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
  11. Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  12. Bake for 8-9 minutes.
  13. Remove cookies from the oven when centers are just set or only a tiny bit glossy.
  14. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Ensure butter is at room temperature for best creaming results.
Do not overmix the dough once flour is added to keep cookies tender.
Cookies will look slightly underbaked when removed from the oven but will set as they cool.
